WM Phone Notification Toggle Instructions Version: 2020-01-13 Original: 2017-06-14 If you are updating please read the Release Notes file! Introduction: This app allows you to to toggle your phone between the normal and vibrate notification modes. (Note: It is unable to set silent mode with current versions of Android.) This is intended for use with Watchmaker, but it could also be used for other purposes. Instructions: Once installed you simply run the app to toggle the phone between the normal and vibrate notification modes. In Watchmaker you can assign this phone app as the Tap Action for a layer. The first time you run the app you may be asked to grant it permission to write over other apps and to read your calendar. Why does it ask for access to your calendar? I assure you that nothing in my code tries to access your calendar. My guess is that some more general function it does use could access your Calendar if it were applied differntly. If would like to check on this please feel free to look at the actual source code (apps.aslanrefuge.org). This app also creates two tags: {twpn_toggle_version} Version {twpn_toggle_as} Running as Tasker or app ("Tasker" or "app") Inside Watchmaker you can tell whether you can use this app by checking whether {twpn_toggle_as} == "app". If you want to display the phone notification mode from Watchmaker you can install my WM Phone Notification Mode app (available on Google Play). Tasker Users: If you use Tasker and import the project for this app, instead of installing the app itself, your Watchmaker faces can assign Tasker tasks to a layer's Tap Action. The "phone notification toggle startup" task will toggle the phone between the normal and vibrate notification modes. Conclusion: I have tried to make this as simple as possible to setup. Please email problems, questions, suggestions, and feedback to support@apps.aslanrefuge.org. I'm sure there are bugs to be found. :-} --Bob Quinlan support@apps.aslanrefuge.org http://apps.aslanrefuge.org Copyright © 2017-2020 by Bob Quinlan
